It is the week of food comas, family gatherings, and shopping galore! Here are some ways to celebrate the holiday around Mesa County.
Thanksgiving-Eve
This event is actually happening all month, but what a great way to celebrate Thanksgiving Eve! Grab a brew and know that the Charity Tap featuring Stone IPA is benefiting CLAWS. When you buy a pint, $1.00 is donated to CLAWS, which helps cats who are looking for their forever homes. Learn more here.
Thanksgiving Day
Grand Junction Turkey Trot 5 K & Little Gobbler Run
Before you indulge in all that Turkey and stuffing, get a little exercise in with your family! The 5K will begin at 9:30 AM and will be held in downtown Grand Junction, Colorado. There will also be a short dash down Main Street for your kids!
Black Friday
Art and Chocolate Walk
What better way to celebrate Black Friday than with walking, shopping, and chocolate? Check out the Blue Pig Gallery website to find participating merchants and pick up a punch card at one of those stores to be entered to win a big gift basket with art and chocolate! This is the perfect time to stock up on some Christmas gifts for your family.
Small Business Saturday
Craft Show 2018 at Two Rivers Convention Center
Small Business Saturday is a great way to celebrate and help some of our local small businesses. If you want a one-stop shop for this, go to the Holiday Craft Show where local artisans will showcase their work ($5 entry fee).
Cyber Monday
Bananas Fun Park is an indoor/outdoor family entertainment center that is offering a GREAT Cyber Monday deal! Buy a $50 or $25 gift card and get another of the same value FREE!
