September 6

Grand Junction Farmer's Market

Downtown Farmers Market, June 22 through September 14.

You don't have many of these left (just two to be exact), so make sure you go this week or next to get local produce, art grown or made in Colorado, and to enjoy local bands. Free parking is available in the parking garage, so you have no excuses!

September 7—8

Colorado Pork and Hops Challenge

Crowd gathers beneath vendor tents at dusk as a crane raises an American flag.

Pork and Hops- two of our favorite words! This is the 12th year of the event and it will be held in Las Colonias Park. '6 Million Dollar Band' will be performing Friday night at 7:30 PM, and the Saturday lineup consists of Led Stetson Band (5:00 PM), William Brothers Band, and Blackhawk. If music isn't your thing, there will be an amazing BBQ and a People’s Choice Awards!

September 13

Men in Heals Race

A man races across a street holding yellow tape as onlookers watch an outdoor event.

The race will be held on Colorado Ave. (at the LAST Farmer's Market) and will feature men racing in heals at 5:30 PM. This event benefits Hilltop's Latimer House which provides a 24-hour crisis line, emergency shelter, advocacy, individual and group counseling, and children’s services to our community.

September 13—16

27th Annual Colorado Mountain Winefest

Crowds gather beneath tents at an outdoor wine festival with wooded mountains in the background.

This quite possibly may be our favorite event of the year. Although general admission tickets are sold out, you can still enjoy some of their other events and tour tickets. This is the state's largest and oldest wine festival and brings together dozens of local wineries selling their wines along with live entertainment, unlimited wine samples, a wine tote, and a commemorative tasting glass.
