5 Best Biking Trails Around Grand Junction!

Restrictions are being lifted more each day, and people who bike have been enjoying the trails for a few weeks already. Trail parking lots are packed, and people are enjoying the warm Colorado sunshine. We have compiled our 5 favorite trails, from easy to difficult. If you have ever wanted to try mountain biking, here is a great place to start.
 

Colorado Riverfront Trail System

Enjoy 22 miles of beautiful, paved trails running from Heritage Park in Fruita to Riverbend Park in Palisade. If you are a beginner, this is a great option!
 

Rustler's Loop

If you are new to the mountain biking world, this is a perfect trail for beginners in Fruita. If you are a little more experienced, Mary’s Trail is nearby and is an intermediate classic connected to numerous other trails.
 

Rabbit Valley

Rabbit Valley isn't too far away, and it's easy to access off of I-70. This valley is nestled in the McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area, and the views are STUNNING!
 

Kokopelli

An 18-mile trail, this one is for more advanced bikers. It is ledgy, rocky, and has quite a few large drops. If you are experienced, this trail is for you. Be sure to pack lots of water and sunscreen! There is no shade!
 

East Orchard Mesa

What better way to enjoy the stunning orchards and vineyards of Palisade than on a bike?! Check out a map of where to go!
